Is it Working for You?
This subject is perfectly fitting for today's theme-Love and Happiness! When it comes to organization in the home, you really must ask yourself one important question-"Is it working for you?" Because if the answer is no, then there is no time like the present to put a plan into action. I think what happens to a lot of people who need a little help in this arena, is that they think they cannot fix the situation. But you can! It's never too late. Here are a few quick tips to getting started to a more organized life.....
1. You have to first, clean out the area. Meaning, remove all the items either from the room, the drawer, the closet, etc. Once you have things looking you in your eyes, you can make a decision to keep it or toss it. It also forces you to rearrange from scratch, with a new and clear vision of how to move forward.
2. This one is important-get rid of things that you no longer need or use. It's critical and necessary. Things become outdated, worn, broken or simply useless, and need to be donated to a charity or tossed out. This process will allow for more space and less clutter!
3. Lastly, create your space with "you" in mind. How will it make your life easier? I truly believe each one of my clients has a completely unique way they will need their space organized, and no one knows that better than you. This is where color coordination or seasonal will come into play. Group like things together always and keep a consistent and uniform approach when putting things into their place.
Then sit back and enjoy the new view! Happy organizing!
