Spring Cleaning
It's that time of year, Spring is almost here! And when you think of Spring, you think of cleaning. I do anyway. After the winter hibernation, it's time to get ready for being outdoors again. I love to go through the house and see what needs to go, what's not being used or what has been outgrown. And this time of year is perfect to put those items towards the ultimate garage sale! That's right, a good old-fashioned garage sale. Why not get rid of the old, make room for the new, and make some money on top of all that! You would be surprised how your junk is the next man's treasure.
After months of saving clothes that I no longer wear, shoes that have become, to me, outdated, and miscellaneous items around the house that just don't fit into the decor anymore, I had a garage sale. Not only did I get a chance to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather, but I met some really nice people in the process. It's a great way to reconnect with neighbors or meet some new people in your neighborhood who may really become a part of your life in one way or another. Business contacts, new friends, or playdates with kids on the block, are just some of the perks you will gain. But let's not forget about the quick and easy cash you make from simply cleaning out your space. Depending on how much stuff you sell and the quality of the items, you can make a nice little amount in just a couple of hours!
So think about when you can schedule a spring cleaning garage sale of your own. Believe me, it's worth the time and effort. So many of my neighbors said they wanted to do one of their own and hopefully they will. Meanwhile, I will be treating myself to a fabulous dinner with my bff with my earnings! Happy Spring Cleaning!
