How to Get Dirty Floors Clean
Hi, my name is Tracy, and I am a cleaning product addict! When it comes to floors, I have tried everything out there. New mops, new scents, new pads, you name it, all the while taking notes on the pros and cons of each. If we are talking about convenience, the Swiffer wet mop pads are great for small spills or a quick clean up and then you dispose of them. Simple! And I have used those for a while now, but not necessarily with Swiffer cleaner. I still love Mop and Glo for the scent and shine it produces. But I have learned that the mop pads by Swiffer dry out or more importantly, dull the floor. You know you just cleaned your floor as directed, but still no shine. That is when I discovered using microfiber cloths to mop the floor. At first, there I was, on my hands and knees, wiping the floors with the cloths section by section. Then I realized I can attach the cloth to the Swiffer mop by tucking it into the cut-outs on the mop that are intended for the disposable pads. By using the microfiber cloths, you are cleaning and essentially buffing your floors at the same time, which produces the shine! It also allows your floors to dry quicker because the cloth is absorbing the excess product. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
Both Swiffer mops and microfiber cloths are sold in most grocery stores in the cleaning product aisle. You can also buy the cloths at the dollar store. Buy a pack of 3 for easy rotation purposes, and throw them in the wash when done using.
Happy Mopping!!!
